Application

SWISSFINISH CORUNDUM forms a stable water/oil emulsion when mixed with water. The consistency can be adjusted by varying the proportion of water. This emulsion is ideal as a matrix for polishing pastes, which are required for polishing sapphire watch glasses, ruby watch jewels etc.

Area of application:

When mixed with water, SWISSFINISH CORUNDUM produces an emulsion with a consistency ranging from a cream to a paste, which, with the addition of an abrasive, is ideal for polishing e.g. sapphires or rubies.

Application:

Combine SWISSFINISH CORUNDUM with 20-40 % water (v/v) as needed and stir into a creamy or paste-like emulsion. Abrasives such as diamond powder can be added to produce a polishing paste perfectly suited to the application.
