Application
SWISSCOOL MEDICAL 8100 is a universal, mineral oil-containing, water-miscible cutting fluid for the medical sector. The product is free from boron and formaldehyde. The new performance additives provide outstanding wettability and optimal cooling and lubricating.
Area of application:
Material: steel, high-alloy steels, medical-grade stainless steels, nickel-based alloys, titanium alloys and aluminium
Machining: milling, turning and drilling
Additional information:
When using cutting fluids in the manufacture of implants in the medical sector, good biocompatibility is key. SWISSCOOL MEDICAL 8100 is non-toxic in accordance with EN ISO 10993-5, whereby the effect of the machining medium on the viability of body cells was determined through demanding testing. Cutting fluids with a body cell viability of over 70 % are classified as non-cytotoxic, and SWISSCOOL MEDICAL 8100 achieved a very good value of over 80 %.
